I grew up on a dairy farm just outside Soldiers Grove Wisconsin. The farm consisted of 300 Acres of cropland and 80 Registered Holsteins; this is small by today's standards, but back then it was considered sizable.
My days were busy juggling school, chores, and activities in 4-H, Future Farmers of America, and the Junior Holstein Association of Wisconsin.
Today I live in Sun Prairie Wisconsin with my wife Julie Reeves-Kroning.
For the last thirty five years I have worked in the private and public sectors, setting-up, operating or fixing industrial equipment. Employers include Madison Kipp Corp, Grande Cheese Company, and the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District.
I have a degree in Industrial Maintenance, and I am also a Journeyman Industrial Electrician both obtained from Madison College.
For the last sixteen years I have been an electrician for the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District, where I have also been a steward for AFSCME Local 6000. Helping workers find their voice is very important to me.
My work at the wastewater treatment plant invariably puts water quality at the forefront of my interest in the environment. My role as an Electrician also affords me the opportunity to explore making the process more efficient.
I look forward to extending that curiosity to projects Dane County undertakes.
