The Dane County Board of Supervisors meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of most months at 7:00 p.m., unless otherwise noted. Meeting dates are available on the Legislative Information Center Calendar.
Note: If a regular meeting falls on a holiday, it will be rescheduled to a different Thursday.
Dane County meetings are conducted in a hybrid format, allowing public attendance and participation in-person, virtually, or by phone.
Attending Virtually (via Zoom)
To attend a meeting virtually, register using the Zoom link available on the top of the agenda, the agenda can be found on the County’s Legislative Information Center. Upon completing the registration form an email confirmation with a link will be sent to the email that was used in the registration process.
If attending the meeting virtually and registered to speak or register in favor or opposition of an item on an agenda, virtual registrations need to be completed no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of the meeting. During the meeting, if you registered to speak, you will be called upon when it is your turn. If you are joining by a computer or mobile device, you will receive a message that asks you to join the meeting as a panelist. It is important to click join as panelist to be able to speak to the committee, board, commission, or task force.
At the time of the meeting, click the link from the confirmation email to join.
The screens in the meeting rooms will show those attending virtually. Members of the public attending in-person will also be on a camera that will be visible to those attending virtually.
The hybrid meetings will be recorded to the extent possible and posted on the County’s Legislative Information Center within the days following the meeting.
Attending by Phone
To attend by phone, members of the public can use the toll-free phone numbers found on the top of the agenda along with the meeting code for the specific meeting you are attending. If attending by phone and you have registered to speak 30 minutes prior to the start of the meeting, you will be asked to unmute when it is your turn to provide comment. In order to unmute on your phone, you need to press *6.
Attending In-Person
For members of the public that are attending a meeting in-person and wish to provide public comment, it is STRONGLY recommended that you complete the registration process by using the link on the agenda at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the meeting. If it is not possible to complete the registration in advance of the meeting, there will be paper registration forms available at the meeting. When it is your turn to speak, you will be called upon to provide comment.
