I am excited to serve Dane County in capacity as Supervisor for District 15 and as 2nd Vice Chair. I am the mother of four children ages 22, 19, 12 and 10 with my two youngest being students in the Madison Metropolitan School District. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and have a passion for working with underrepresented communities and others who can’t advocate for themselves. To that end, I hold multiple positions in the community as a Recruiter for Exact Sciences and as Special Projects Manager for the Foundation for Black Women’s Wellness. I also serve on numerous boards including: 79th Assembly District Rep for the Democratic Party of Dane County; Board of Trustees for Wingra School; Board of Directors, Wisconsin Literacy; Board of Directors, Dane Dances and as a Member of African American Opioid Coalition. I was also recently appointed as the First African American Woman and first person of Color to serve on the City of Middleton’s Police Commission and am the Chair for the Overture Center Community Advisory Committee.
In my spare time (I do have a little), I like to entertain, watch movies with my kids, and enjoy being outside (only when it’s above 65 degrees 😊). I look forward to serving you and welcome the opportunity to connect with you as questions or concerns arise.
