Erin Welsh is the Deputy Director of the Office of Crime Victim Services at the Wisconsin Department of Justice. With over 13 years of dedicated service to victims of crime, Erin has built a reputation for her unwavering advocacy and commitment to accessible, victim-centered options, both within and beyond the criminal justice system. Prior to her current role, she served as the Director of Safe at Home, Wisconsin’s address confidentiality program; was an at-large board member of the National Association of Confidential Address Programs; co-chaired the Department of Justice Diversity Advisory Committee; and served on several Governor’s Council on Domestic Violence and Crime Victims Council subcommittees. Erin is a proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School and combines her legal expertise with a deep passion for supporting the needs of those impacted by crime.
Erin is not only a seasoned professional but also a proud mom of a school-aged kid, an avid concert-goer, and an engaged resident of the Westmorland neighborhood for the past 12 years. Both personally and professionally, Erin is driven by a commitment to equity, access, and community; values she strives to uphold in all aspects of her life.
As the Dane County District 7 Supervisor, Erin is dedicated to fostering a safe, inclusive, and thriving community for all residents by serving on the Health & Human Needs Committee, the Commission on Sensitive Crimes, and the Henry Vilas Zoo Commission. She brings a wealth of experience, a compassionate approach, and a vision for a brighter future for Dane County.
