Jail Consolidation Project
The Dane County Board of Supervisors recently approved funding to get the Jail Consolidation project moving forward. The project should be ready to go out to bid some time by June and we hope to start construction by fall of this year. This project has been a long time coming and we are now ready to start building a jail facility that will be safe and humane for residents and county employees for many years to come.
Renewable Energy
With the completion of the counties 90 acre Yahara Solar project, Dane County is now using 100% renewable energy in all of its facilities. Dane County is only the 4th county in the United States to reach this milestone of reducing its carbon footprint. We are setting the example for others to follow.

Land & Water Resources
Here is a link to the Land & Water Resources 2022 Annual Report where you can find information on a whole host of initiatives being done by Dane County to preserve and protect our land and water throughout the county. Removing phosphorus from our waterways, building new bike trails, creating pollinator habitats and native prairies to protect our lakes and waterways from runoff, helping farmers and landowners with new and innovative conservation practices, flood mitigation and land restoration efforts are just a few of the great efforts being promoted and implemented by County Executive Parisi and our great staff in our Land and Water Resources Department.

Dane County Regional Housing Strategy
I have been working with the Dane County Regional Housing Strategy (RHS) as a member of the Housing Advisory Committee. The committee is made up of housing professionals from cities, towns and villages, non-profit housing organizations, private sector stakeholders and regional partners including developers throughout the county. We are now half way through a process of 11 scheduled monthly meetings designed to strategize and develop a vision for housing throughout Dane County, and to address the critical shortage of affordable and workforce housing that currently exists in our county.

Dane County Board
The Dane County Board of Supervisors is the legislative and policy making body of County Government. It is made up of 37 supervisors elected from districts in the county. The mission of the Board of Supervisors is to effectively represent the people of Dane County, providing services which secure the blessings of freedom, ensure domestic tranquility, promote the general welfare, and perfect the forms of government.

In the first year of my two year term I sponsored 204 resolutions or ordinances. Of those 184 have passed and the remaining are either in committee or recommended to the board. In addition to the county board I serve on six committees. Through those committees my main focuses have been public works, transportation, renewable energies, housing, public safety and land & water issues. All issues I enjoy working on and that are critical to Dane County’s future.
The Dane County Board of Supervisors has several educational resources available for the public that provide information on the legislative process, description and information for committees, and how-to video's for the County's Legislative Information Center. These are meant to be helpful resources for members of the public, so it is easier to engage in the work of the County Board.
